This piece was a chance for me to add patterns and line drawings to my usual text.
I was asked to create a piece that drew on Nina’s North African and Balkan roots (as well as her parents’ love of ceramics).
The hamsa is a traditional symbol of protection, especially for women and children, used in many cultures and religions.
